I'll tell you what happens- I go visit some of my favorite blogs, and get caught up in following the cookie crumbs .
So if you have one of those days where you just want to visit some great jewelry blogs that have lots of inspiration, amazing galleries, tutorials or forums here are my suggestions for 5 of the best must visit jewelry blogs. You will find something of value on each visit.
One of the reasons I love each of these blogs is because there is so much sharing and creating of community.
I would venture to say creating art is our first passion. And then because we want to share what is being done, we get involved with all the extras -the blogging, social media, etc and it takes a lot of time to put together.
These amazing artists have mastered multi-tasking- creating great art and creating interesting ways to share themselves and their knowledge generously with us.
5 Best Blogs for Handmade Jewelry
Love My Art Jewelry
There is a little bit of everything here, but I particularly like the blog articles and tutorials.
Susan Lenart Kazmer
Not much in the way of articles here but great pictures of her work.
She was the first jewelry artist whose work I fell in love with.
Her style and her pieces just bring me such joy to look at, if you are not familiar with her, you have to check her out.
Jewelry Making Journal
This is a full spectrum blog- everything you need to know or want to find can be found here. I just love getting lost in this site.
There are tutorials, articles, galleries, and help with every aspect of jewelry making and selling.
I even recently had a post published on this site entitled Confessions of a Junk Collector.
The great thing about the Jewelry Making Journal is the amount of sharing that goes on. It is really a wonderful community and Rena is so kind and generous with the service she provides to us all . As one who works alone in my home studio, it makes me feel connected to others, many who are in the same situation.
Altered Alchemy- Luthien Thye
What can I say---I just love, love, love her style and the work she has created. Very earthy and rustic, which is my favorite style.
Luthien has some great tutorials you won't want to miss. In her gallery section, I love how she takes the time to talk about each piece and its inspiration.
This blog is different from the others being it is a jewelry resource supply company. That said, I have to mention it is a wonderful site for tutorials, lots and lots of them. They are well written, have lots of good photos and a complete list of the materials needed before you even dive in.
So be sure to bookmark or pin this post so that you can easily find one of these sites the next time you are sitting with your cup of coffee and want something interesting to read.
