So you find that great piece of sea glass on the beach or a beautiful rock during a walk that you want to make into a pendant for a necklace.
But you have no idea how to do it. You know you would like to wire wrap it but it seems so difficult.
Well here's my secret--it isn't!
I wire wrap all shapes and sizes of sea glass and stones to make pendants, and with just a little patience, and following the steps below, you can create your own handmade earthy design!
Pictorial for Wrapping Sea Glass
You can find out more about the different pliers and cutters from the blog postLoop? Wrap? Cut?
If this is your first time playing around with wire, it will be trial and error until you have a sense of how much is needed.
For me it depends on how much wire I have left, but generally I prefer to make another wrap along the glass for security, closer to the top. In the picture below, the wire was brought to the back, then then front, up to the neck to finsih making wrapping loops until I used all my wire.
Below is the front of the pendant.
